GRANGIA - VAL DI SUSA

Typical "grangia" in the old mountain community of Val di Susa.

The complete renovation, recovery, and restoration of the building, dating back to the mid 1700’s, is an authentic testimony of traditional Alpine architecture, carried out in full respect and attention to the original structure, using only local materials, often recovered from old buildings in the area.

A radical restoration project, which included optimization and harmonization of spaces, careful interventions on the stone elements, new technological gas and electric systems, acoustic enhancement, and scrupulous care for detail. Wood is the characterizing element of this type of construction: brushed, planed larch paneling lines walls, ceilings and floors.

In the floors, larch panels are interlocked with old stone sections.
