The underground Galvagno car park, part of a broader requalification plan of Piazza Galvagno – a picturesque square nestled right next to the San Bernardino church in Borgo San Paolo – was realized entirely in a public subsurface area, through authorization by the Turin Township for the use of public underground areas.
The realization allowed increased use of surface areas, and improved traffic conditions by reducing the use of the square through a more rational use of the surface areas used as parking spaces.
The surface, largely used as pedestrian-only zone, was adorned by adding greenery and public benches.
The car park is distributed over three underground floors, reachable through walkways placed directly outside of the pedestrian zone of the square.
Total number of car spaces: 75
